Product Overview
IAI ACON-C-20I-NP-2-0 is a single-axis position controller designed for a matching IAI AC servo actuator using the 20I controller configuration. It controls actuator positioning, movement speed, acceleration, deceleration, home-return operation and status signals according to stored position data and commands from an upper-level PLC.
This model uses NP NPN sink-type parallel I/O. It is mainly required for maintenance of existing automated equipment where the original controller, actuator, wiring logic and parameter configuration must remain consistent.

Related IAI family model: ACON-PO-20I-NP-2-0. This related controller shares the 20I and NP-2-0 configuration pattern but uses a different pulse-command controller format. It is included for related-model coverage only and is not automatically interchangeable with ACON-C-20I-NP-2-0.

Compatible Systems and Applications
ACON-C-20I-NP-2-0 can be used in automated assembly equipment, component-transfer systems, packaging machines, inspection fixtures, positioning stations and other machines using a matching IAI actuator. A PLC can select stored position numbers, issue movement commands and monitor completion or alarm signals through parallel I/O.
The controller must be matched to the actuator configuration shown on the controller and actuator nameplates. Similar ACON controllers may use different motor ratings, encoder configurations, pulse interfaces, network options or I/O logic.
Maintenance and Replacement Notes
Before removing the original controller, back up the position table, speed settings, acceleration and deceleration values, home-return parameters and system settings whenever communication remains available. Record the PLC I/O assignments and photograph all connectors and terminals.
Confirm that the installed PLC uses NPN sink-type signals. A PN, pulse-train or field-network version may require different wiring and control programming. The complete suffix NP-2-0 must be checked rather than selecting a replacement by the ACON-C series name alone.
IAI identifies ACON-C/CG as a discontinued controller family and lists ACON-CB/CGB as the successor family. The newer controller should not be treated as a direct drop-in replacement without checking dimensions, wiring, actuator compatibility, parameters and firmware.
