The B&R X20BC0083 is a POWERLINK bus controller for connecting X20 and X2X Link I/O stations to a real-time industrial network. It operates as a POWERLINK V1/V2 controlled node and provides an integrated two-port Fast Ethernet hub for efficient line wiring.
The controller supports I/O configuration and firmware updates through the fieldbus. It is suitable for distributed machine I/O, modular production equipment and replacement of an existing X20BC0083 installation where the original network, bus base and power-supply arrangement must be retained.
